Damn it was hard to really listen and focus but here’s my list in no particular order:

  • Unsettled
  • Like I’m trying to manage my energy + stress levels for a happy balance right now
  • Grateful
  • Like I’ve put a part of me on pause.
  • Like I really really really want to be great at this mothering thing but know that no one truly has it figured out.
  • Ungrateful
  • Like I need to figure more things out for myself

I try to run everyday and always listen to a podcast, audiobook, or if I’m really in a pensive mood, some music. Today I ran with my daughter in the stroller and went without any audio distractions. It was just the right amount of distraction to force me to try and listen to what I was feeling.

I much prefer music but it was a nice change of pace and I think that’s what I needed today. How would you answer what you’re feeling right now?
